Open every maker-approved removable slider and gasket so water reaches hidden channels. If odor or visible residue remains after a dishwasher cycle, hand-clean the channel with warm soapy water and a small soft brush. Never pry out a gasket the manufacturer calls non-removable, and do not reassemble a damp lid.
